A delay penalty valued AED 500 is imposed monthly, at a maximum of AED 5000 per annum, should the renewal be requested the following day after the expiration of the registration/renewal certificate with the Ministry of Economy. If the expiration date falls on an official holiday, the delay penalty shall be computed starting the end of the day following the expiration or the official holiday, as the case may be.
